She’s got a smile that it seems to me, Reminds me of childhood memories, Where everything was as fresh as the bright blue sky. Now and then when I see her face, She takes me away to that special place, And if I stared too long, I’d probably break down and cry. Seeing her smile, reminds me of my childhood. These memories bring me joy. When I see her face, I feel better than I ever have before Her face brings me tears of joy and happiness. Please click to continue

She’s got eyes of the bluest skies, As if they thought of rain. I hate to look into those eyes, And see an ounce of pain. Her hair reminds me of a warm, safe place Where as a child I’d hide. And pray for the thunder and the rain, To quietly pass me by. Her eyes are beautiful, but frequently sad. When she is sad, I am sad as well. Her hair reminds me of my favorite childhood hiding place. Where I would wait for my troubles to pass. Please click to continue

The author uses a line in the poem that is an excellent example of imagery. This example relates to not just one, but all five of the human senses. The word “fresh” could relate to the sense of sight, smell, sound, taste, and touch. Words like this in a sentence really bring out the quality in the piece of literature.
