Presentation transcript:

What is organized for one person, may not be organized to another person.

Neat vs. Organized Neat and organized are not the same thing. Neat refers to cleanliness or tidiness Organized refers to keeping things in an orderly or structured manner IT IS POSSIBLE TO BE ORGANIZED WITHOUT BEING NEAT AND TO BE NEAT WITHOUT BEING ORGANIZED…..

Being Neat Has Advantages Easier to focus on the task at hand when your environment isn’t cluttered. Having a neat work area is important when it comes to appearance. Being neat is often easier than being organized, however, organization is important in order to be successful.

Did you know? It takes 21 days to form a new habit, which means you can be 3 weeks away from becoming an organized person! The average person loses 1 hour a day due to being unorganized.

Reasons for being unorganized… Procrastination – When you postpone today’s work until tomorrow it creates DOUBLE work for you. Interruptions - They reduce your motivation to continue doing work. Decide what is important enough to interrupt you, otherwise ignore it. Time – Don’t try to do too many things at one time, designate time to complete the task at hand. Priorities – You all have priorities that should be set up in order of importance.

Benefits of being organized… You will be able to… be more focused on what you want to achieve. be more productive. manage your time more effectively. reduce the clutter in your workspace and reduce your stress levels. set and achieve your goals in a more efficient manner. prioritize your tasks. be more flexible and more creative. achieve more energy and enthusiasm. YOU are in control of YOUR life!
