John D. Rockefeller: America’s First Billionaire… He was considered to be the “poster child for capitalism” People saw two sides of him; one considered negative and the other considered successful Born in 1839 in Moravia, western NY. Mother was a Baptist and father a traveling medicine practitioner. In 1853, moved to Cleveland John D. Rockefeller 1839-1987

Troubles in Cleveland… At first. Maurice Clark/Edwin Drake 1870, started the Standard Oil Company of Ohio. 1882, created a trust Reinventing oil Here lies a beautiful edited image of John D. Rockefeller which depicts the raw feelings you get by looking at him with his signature next to his face.
