TUESDAY: 8.40am- Arrive at school, meet in hall (to pass on any medicines, monies etc. to group leaders) 9.15am – Depart for York am– Stop at services for snack (roughly half way) 11.30am- Arrive at York Racecourse accommodation. UNPACK 12.00am – LUNCH at the Racecourse am- Coach journey into York centre (approx5-10mins) 1.00pm – Arrive at the Yorvik Centre for the Viking Activities (see below) Group 1: 1.00pm Workshop 2.00pm lunch room at DIG 2.30pm DIG 3.40pm Jorvik (please note that this is the last time slot of the day for Jorvik) Group 2: 1.00pm lunch room at DIG 1.40pm Jorvik 3.00pm Workshop 4.00pm DIG (please note that this is the last DIG tour of the day)
TUESDAY CONTINUED……… 4.00pm – Coach Journey back to centre. 4.15pm – Supervised free time at York racecourse (indoor and outdoor games etc.) 5.30pm – DINNER. 6.15pm –Free time at York Racecourse (indoor games and possibly DVD). 8.45pm– Wash and clean teeth ready for bed. 9.00pm – Children bedrooms, lights out shortly after.
WEDNESDAY: 8.00am– Breakfast 8.45am – Tidy rooms, pack bags, load coach. 9.30am – Coach journey into York centre. 9.45am– Visit York Minster am – York City Wall Walk (including walk of Shambles) – LUNCH 12.30pm – Coach departs for Buglawton. 1.30pm – Possible stop at services pm – Arrive back at school.
