Introduction  Welcome everyone to the NetarchiveSuite Workshop!  Let’s start by introducing ourselves!

NetarchiveSuite Background  Originally developed by the two national deposit libraries in Denmark : The Royal Library (KB), Copenhagen The State and University Library (SB), Aarhus  Since 2005 : used to harvest the Danish web  2007 : released as open source, hand-on training  2008 : The National Library of France (BnF) and the National Library of Austria (ONB) joined the project  2009: first NAS workshop, start of NAS development community  More and more countries are using NAS Scotland, Estonia (2012), Spain (2013)

NetarchiveSuite Community Purpose  Exchange : get and provide support in using NetarchiveSuite  Share development effort (bug fixing, new features) for the benefice of all  Share curatorial practices

NetarchiveSuite Community Tools   Documentation (use, contribute)  Issue tracker, roadmap  Mailing lists : netarchivesuite-users, netarchivesuite-devel, netarchivesuite- curator  Monthly conference calls  Annual meetings to further discussions on topics of interest to the community

2015 Workshop Purpose  Topics we will discuss during this meeting: use of statistics based on ISO metrics introduction and use of Heritrix 3 in NAS improve broad crawls ebooks/news websites archiving  Outcome: update the curator roadmap, organize collaboration on developments  Agenda: 30+January+NAS+workshop 30+January+NAS+workshop
