Inception of the concept  In the past, manufacturing was typically done by a single skilled Artisan or craftsman with assistants. “Training was by apprenticeship. In much of the pre-industrial world, the guild system protected the privileges and trade secrets of urban artisans.”-(Wikimedia-002)  Before the Industrial revolution people who manufactured things, were considered to be craftsman. Regulation for such crafts were handed down through generations as methods practices recipes etc. Today there are regulator bodies of legislation, standardization and institutions that teach technique.

INTERNATIONAL MANUFACTURING STANDARDS CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS-NATIONAL STANDARDS  FDA A stands for “Food And Drug Administration” A government agency established in 1906 with the passage of the Federal Food and Drugs Act. It’s person is to regulate the manufacturing production and control of services related to the practices and sale of anything that has to deal with the human health aspect. Basically anything that is consume or contain consumable health related products for human every day life. Drug manufacturing eg.  ISO ISO is a documented that provides requirements, specifications, guidelines or characteristics that can be used consistently to ensure that materials, products, processes and services are fit for their purpose. We published over International Standards that can be purchased from the ISO store or from our members.  GMP Good Manufacturing Practices. It is a Canadian quality assurance regulations governed at the Federal level.
