Mali empire Timbuktu was the birth city of mansa musa

He is famous for many things like being king of the Mali empire and, being the richest person to ever live but the most notable reason was his pilgrimage to Mecca. Where he took around 60,000 people, 100 camels with a load of 300lbs of gold witch he all gave away and managed to ruin Egypt's economy for 10 years.
