Go to the St. Cloud State University homepage : Click on the: Technology button on the top navigation bar

Click on: “StarID”

Click on “StarID Self Service site”

If you know your password click on “Forgot StarID” If you do not know your password click on “Forgot StarID & Password”

Click on “Personal Address”

Enter your Personal Address, then click “Continue”

Verify that your legal name and address are correct. Click: “Next”

Open a new browser window and log into your personal account. There should be an “StarID Notice: Verification Code”. The verification code will be listed in the , copy or write down the code Note: the code is a one time use code and expires in 1 hour!

Go back to the original browser window and fill out required information Click: “Continue”

Your StarID is listed. If you know your password you are done at this point. If you do not know your password you may reset it. Enter New Password Password Requirements: Between 8 and 128 characters long. Use at least 3 of these types of characters: uppercase, lowercase, numbers, special characters. Special characters include characters like these: May not have been used before. May not contain your first name or last name if they are longer than 2 characters. Confirm Password Check box Click “Continue”

You should see the password change confirmation screen. An will also be sent to your personal address.
