 Ambiguous images.  People can view the same image differently.  Therefore, people have different views on the same subject.  Questions:  1) Who is the best basketball player?  2) Who is the best actor?  3) What type of music is the best?  4) Are we allowed to have different views?

 Everyone has a worldview, or a distinctive way of seeing and understanding the world.  A Worldview is the framework of ideas and beliefs through which an individual, group or culture interprets the world and interacts with it.  What shapes our worldview?

 Culture is a reason that can affect someone’s worldview.  Every culture has their own ways of doing things (food, clothing, music, etc…).  People from a different culture may perceive someone else as being weird. (Stereotyping).  Generally, we have to avoid these circumstances.

 I am referring to time periods throughout history.  Every time period had different views of the world.  Question: Did people who lived in the Middle Ages have the same values and beliefs as we do today?  Therefore, time is a huge factor that influences how we perceive our world.

 Where you live influences your worldview.  Communist versus Democracy?  How our political system influences our views.  Place also includes a more local view.  Poverty versus Wealth?

 It is the most important factor that determines our worldviews.  Media includes; television, radio, internet, magazines, billboards, etc…)  We are constantly affected by media and its message. Especially teenagers.  We will go more in depth in our Pop Culture Magazine Project.

 Take 15 minutes to think about your own worldview. How do you see the world from your eyes. Is it fair? Is it tough?  Topics to help you decide:  1) Religion  2) How you were raised  3) Experiences  4) Media’s message/Peers

 What is the meaning of the poem?  How does it relate to worldviews?  What if the blind men discussed instead of arguing?
