Classroom Management in the Computer Lab

Computer Rules Wash your hands before using the computer No running in the computer lab Treat the computer with care No food or water near the computer Raise your hand if you need help No rolling around in your chair

Computer lab routine Come in quietly Grab your headphones from the bin Plug in your headphones Log on the computer Get started with your assignment

Inappropriate Content “X” the material immediately Raise your hand to get help logging of the computer

Seating Chart Students will be assigned a seat in the lab for every visit to the computer lab Students are assigned a seat so that they will work quietly and efficiently.

Rewards/ Consequences If students attend three computer times without getting a “strike” they will be rewarded with free time on the computer to visit websites such as PBS kids or Cool Math for kids If students get a strike for breaking computer rules they will lose their free time the next time they earn it.
