You will provide oversight, leadership and direction to a group of IT professionals responsible for architecting, implementing and supporting a broad range of global services and solutions (Server, Storage, Unix/Linux/Windows Operating Systems and Virtualization). This includes technical projects, operations, and/or support activities. The size and range of group will vary, but typically consists of 6-10 associates. This is a "hands on" technical leader role with time dedicated to both managerial and IT practitioner activities. The scope of responsibilities spans over 150+ Unix/Linux servers, 600+ Windows servers, 900+ TB of storage, 80% of virtualized systems. The Opportunity Ensure that owned technologies are architected, deployed and maintained with high service uptime. Provide coaching and foster career development, growth and success for direct reports. Perform managerial activities such as associate development, resource and project planning, budget management, customer and associate relations. Lead by example and provide direction and strategy for multiple complex, mission-critical services or technologies. Manage the team by conducting regular stand ups, ensuring projects and deliverables are completed on time and by removing impediments. Manage communication within the team and to the organization at large. Work with/across global/regional/local IT teams by providing expert consultation for areas of responsibilities. Drive the evaluation of technology solutions which will deliver highly secure and dynamic IT services. Develop business cases including financials, and communicate detailed architecture recommendations needed to support business initiatives. To join our team you will need: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Business Administration or related discipline is required. Master’s Degree is preferred Experience: Minimum of seven years’ experience in Information Technology. A solid background in Hosting services (Server and Storage) and related technologies is desirable. IT skills & others: Ability to translate business needs into IT solutions and technologies. Demonstrable knowledge of good architecture/design/deployment practices in hosting services (Server and Storage). Flexible and adaptable, you demonstrate a high level of initiative and problem solving capabilities and enjoy challenging situations in a changing environment. Excellent communication skills, customer-oriented mindset and ability to build strong professional relationships. Very good argumentation and presentation skills. Demonstrable ability to develop people; organize, prioritize and manage work for the team. Strong team player with excellent relationship skills.
