 A devastating earthquake of April 25, and May 12, 2015  Extensive damage to buildings and thousands of deaths  Media aired information around the world

 A threat to spread epidemics  No sign of epidemics reported at all.  How it could become possible is the interesting information to the world.  This paper focuses on the people's response and the rescue teams' effort in preserving 'right to life' at local level.  The presentation is focused on South West of Kathmandu

 To record the damages and causalities in the affected area.  To identify health risk management activities from different agencies and local bodies.  To assess the local people's participation in preserving right to life.

 Periodic awareness programs especially on psychological first aid and WASH

 Community Disaster Management Committee-9 was formed in 2004 and reformed in  Disaster Management Committee-10, 11 and 12 were formed in 2006 and reformed in  Lumanti, OXFAM, Nepal Red Cross Society are the leading organizations to form these committees.

 Disaster Risk Management Plan was made very earlier.  Local youths were trained before the incidents.  Several simulation practices were done before the incident.
