Apple Watch Will Impact 5 Big Trends BRIAN SOZZI

Apple Watch Will Impact 5 Big Trends  Microsoft has to be concerned  Can BlackBerry be any more irrelevant right now?  Bags at Whole Foods will be larger  Under Armour owns the Apple Watch, early on.  Department Stores will win; some.

Microsoft has to be concerned  Apple Watch threatens to shut Microsoft out of yet another market.  A successful showing from Apple Watch would contribute to Microsoft’s slow death

Can BlackBerry be any more irrelevant right now?  BlackBerry’s instant messaging service is falls short when compared to IOS’ messaging capabilities on Apple Watch.  Apple’s success in phone, tablet and now watch markets should help them to be preferred choice in offices/workplaces.

Bags at Whole Food will be larger  Whole Food’s embracing of new technologies should lead to a growth in sales.  Eventually Apple Pay should lead to less labor and in turn more revenue.

Under Armour owns the Apple Watch, early on  Nike is behind in the wearable software market.  Under Armour’s early advantage could lead to better research and marketing in this market.

Department stores will win; some.  Department stores will benefit from Apple Watch sales but do not expect Apple to distribute too many to them.  Apple will try to bring people to their own retail stores.
