Christ, His Basis for Superiority: The Father has chosen his Son to minister in four all-important areas. 1.In the Old Testament, God revealed himself through his messengers (1:1). 2.In the New Testament, God revealed himself through his Messiah (1:2a). A.Revelation (1:1-2a)

Christ, His Basis for Superiority: The Father has chosen his Son to minister in four all-important areas. 1.The Son made the universe (1:2b). 2.The Son maintains the universe (1:3b). B.Creation (1:2b-3)

Christ, His Basis for Superiority: The Father has chosen his Son to minister in four all-important areas. C.Representation (1:3a): Jesus is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of God's being. D.Purification (1:3c): Jesus died to cleanse us from our sins.
