Caring for a Dog Dogs have been pets for over 14,000 years. If you have a dog for a pet, you have to bathe them, feed them, and give them something to drink. You need to take them on walks for exercise. If a dog gets sick, you may need to take it to a vet right away so it can get medicine. If your dog gets a broken leg, you will have to take it to the vet to get it fixed.

My name is Chloe Rucker. I am almost 8 years old. My birthday is April 8 th. I like to play games, like Checkers and I like to play cards with my parents.
