CHRISTMAS IN SWEDEN We put our Christmas presents under the Christmas tree
Pickled herring, egghalves with romsauce and salmon are all part of the Christmas dinner.
The most important dish on the swedish Christmas table – ham! And red cabbage. The mustard is from Strasbourg!
Mulled wine with almonds, hazelnuts and raisins is a must at Christmas. As is the ”julmust”.
Rice a la Malta with fruit sauce is a common dessert. Boiled rice mixed with whipped cream and vanilla taste really nice!
Swedes really love their Christmas candy! Icechoclate, fudge and ”knäck”are some of the varieties we like.
At three o´clock everyone (almost) watches Donald Duck and his friends on the TV. It´s a tradition that dates back to Every year the programme has some new additions, depending on what new Disneymovies that need promotion.
After Donald Duck it´s time for the highlight of Christmas Eve – Santa handing out the gifts! This years Santa was Natalie! Natalie is one of the students going to Spain in May.
