Pathogen Harmful microorganisms that can make you sick or produce toxins that will make you sick.

Type of Pathogens Bacteria Found everywhere Live in and on our bodies Some keep us healthy, others cause illness Need six conditions to grow:

Bacteria Conditions needed to grow: FAT TOM Food Acidity (neutral-slightly acidic) Temperature (41 and 135 degrees) Time Oxygen-some need it, some don’t Moisture-needs high moisture
