Student Activities  Students are to create a persuasive letter to Hitler –Address Germany’s concerns towards his actions –Offer alternate solutions to the economic problems –Explain the potential outcome of his actions

Student Activities (cont’d)  Students are to Create a Timeline –Should begin with Germany’s loss in World War I –Should end with Germany’s defeat in World War II –Must include 15 important events minimum

 Most “popular” method of extermination was the gas chamber –Though many died from malnutrition and neglect –Many were placed in forced labor camps  Devastated many European Jewish communities –Many emigrated to the U.S. –Jews longed for a place they could call their home land –Creation of Israel

The Aftermath  Germany divided into East and West –Berlin also divided and separated by Berlin Wall –Beginning of Cold War  U.S. and Soviet Union  Germany watched very closely –Try to prevent same scenario from occuring
