 Without the light bulb we would need to use fire to see. This would be dangerous. So the light bulb is helping to make us safer.

 If the light bulb wasn't invented we would have to use kerosene oil which is a fossil fuel and would be less environmentally safe.

 Its used in lighthouses to stop ships from crashing into rocks and shore.

 It lights our way so at night in the dark we will know where we are going.

 Headlights on cars light the road so they wont crash into other cars.

 Light bulbs in torches allow us to see in caves, forests and used in emergencies.

 Light bulbs attached to microscopes allow us to see very small objects and insects

 Light bulbs in operating theatres allow surgeons to perform the most complicated operations.

 That's why I think the light bulb is the technological outcome that changed mankind.
