Using the “RIO WIKI” Rio Homepage Teacher Resources: Professional Learning Communities Organized by Dates & Topics Click on anything that is underlined for a direct link “Navigation” instructions are at the top Updated with new resources

A Refresher – Using Google Docs 1. One person “owns” the document 2. The documents saves as you write in it 3. Choose YOUR PLC group from the tabs at the bottom 4. Be very careful about using the “UNDO” arrow on tool bar as it can erase the whole cell. 5. If you erase by error…go under “file” – “see revision history” to view earlier document. You can restore an earlier version…but be careful doing this. 6. Any changes in font/color/size will be for the whole cell not just one word 7. IDENTIFY questions/comments for Pam or Genevieve by writing them in the cell or adding a new row (like excel) 8. Use Google Chrome as the browser when possible

PLC Meeting Protocol See Worksheet on Wiki which outlines the protocol for your PLC meetings Hopefully this will help the process

Calendar for PLC’s (on WIKI) Oct. 25 – ALL plus individual PLC time Nov. 2 – ALL plus individual PLC time December AND January PLC chooses their own time to meet for 60 min. Feb. 21 – ALL plus individual PLC time (Feb. 22 – Teacher effectiveness) March – All plus individual PLC time April – Each PLC chooses own time May – All plus individual PLC time

What are “Deliverables” for your PLC Today Create or review your student learning goal to see if it’s SMART. Type it in the appropriate box on the Google worksheet. Identify what student work you’ll bring to Nov. 2 PLC
