Malaria Date : November 10, 2009 Affected Areas : Brgy. Dapdap, Calauag No. of Cases: 80 uncomplicated cases No. of Deaths: 0 Laboratory Confirmation: Malarial Smear (P. falciparum )

Actions Taken: Treatment of confirmed and clinically diagnosed cases Collection of blood smears Distribution of long-lasting insecticide treated nets by Global Fund Bednet treatment Training of malaria volunteer spraymen

Actions Taken: Indoor residual spraying of houses Orientation of health workers in the area on malaria treatment protocol and blood smear collection IEC and film showing for students in the barangay Coordination with the LGU,Global fund and other agencies for the continuous monitoring, case finding and treatment of cases
