European Commission Enterprise and Industry 6 th EU-Russia Dialogue on Industrial and Enterprise Policy Working Group 12 May 2011 | Enhanced governance: the SME Envoy’s role Acting at EU level : the SME Envoy is there to listen to SMEs and their representatives and act as internal “watchdog” for EU policy making. Acting on the ground is even more crucial: Member States are therefore invited to appoint their national SME Envoy.
