“IF then you were raised with Christ…” – Col. 3.1  Our being raised with Christ is conditional.  We die with Christ and rise with Him in baptism – 2.11ff How does Christ dwell in me?  Colossians 2.12 – “through faith”  Ephesians 3.17 – “through faith” Christ dwelling in me produces changes:  It changes my conduct – Colossians 3.1 “seek”  It changes my thinking – Colossians 3.2 “set your mind”

When Christ Lives in Me… Christlikeness defeats improper behavior – Col  What I must give up in coming to Christ:  Anger – “antagonism as the result of some… grievance”  Wrath – “anger forthwith boiling up and soon subsiding again”  Malice – “All malignity… always looking out for… revenge”  Blasphemy – Speaking designed to ab use, whether God or man  Filthy Language – Inappropriate, sexually-charged language  Lying – Intentional, injurious obscuring of truth  Why must I give this up?  Colossians
