Water Level Corrections Water Level Above Chart Datum = Negative Tide Correction! In Depth Mode: Chart Sounding = Measured Sounding + Tide Correction + Draft Correction + Other Corrections. The height of the water level relative to the chart datum is called the ‘Tide Correction’ or ‘Water Level’ Correction. (Same thing) Positive if the Water Level is below the Chart Datum.
