 This was written 10 years after the book was originally published.  It was to re-assure that the country (America) is still obese and in fact, getting worse.

 Each day, 65 million people eat at McDonalds  $168 billion annual cost to obesity epidemic and same amount Americans spent on fast food in 2011  Fast food advertisements are on the TV constantly (seen by children, teens, adults)  Obesity rate has increased in all ages  23 million low income Americans live in food deserts which lack supermarkets.  Fast food chains are heavily targeting low income communities.  Low income people are more obese because healthy food is more expensive.

 Throughout the whole term of George W. Bush’s presidency, his administration refused to reform the nations fast food system. They did not help out the E-coli outbreak and continued the production of harmful (poisonous) foods to distribute throughout the country.
