 Mayor- older  Menor- younger  Hijo(a) único (a)- only child

 We celebrate Halloween only one day, October 31.  We dress up to “scare” the dead.  Día de muertos, we celebrate it for three days.  October 31- waiting for the dead to come back  November 1- we commemorate the younger kids that passed away  November 2- we commemorate the older people

 When we say she is my mother we are talking about the possesive adjetives.  Example: mi libro  my book  tu pluma  your pen  In spanish we have different kinds of possessive adjectives. Su, mi, tu(singular)  Sus, mis, tus(plural). See p. 183

 Which celebration do you prefer? And why? Between Halloween and dia de los muertos.  Give at least 3 reasons on why you prefer this celebration.  Would you like to celebrate the other celebration in your family?

 El piso= the floor  El ascensor= elevator  La escalera= stairway.  This is also ladder in english.

 Primer piso- first floor  Segundo piso- second floor.  Tercer piso= third floor.  Cuarto piso= fourth floor.  Quinto piso= fifth floor.  Sexto piso= sixth floor

 Septimo piso- seventh floor.  Octovo piso= eighth floor  Noveno piso = ninth floor  Decimo piso= tenth floor.

 Privado(a), particular= private.  Alrededor de… - around  Cerca de…. Near  Subir- to go up  El periódico= newspaper

 la revista= magazine  El libro= the book  La película= the movie  La emisión deportiva= sportcast;sports program.

 Las noticias= the news  Ver la televisión= to watch televisión  Escribir una carta- to write a letter.

 my= mi, mis.  Yours=tu, tus  His and hers= su, sus.  Nosotros= ours.  De= is also his, hers, theirs, ours,
