 Epilogue: The Great Transition Mohammed Jaidah

Sorokin stated that there is need for change in both economic and political platforms, in addition to changes in mentality for the enhancement of fundamental transformation of humanity values.

The basic meaning of the Boulding quote is that humanity is living ignorantly and acts like chickens trying to hatch hippos despite the natural impossibility due to the limited evolutionary potential.

The financial industry has become hugely dependent on governments rescue and the taxpayers, and therefore it is greedy.

A comparison of democratic economies with the rising democracies exposes huge discrepancy, whereby countries like the United States have an upper hand in economic growth and development due to effective integration of innovations in the democratic political and economical.

The expressed depressions in the financial industry are different from the initial reasons for innovation of the industry by humans. This seeks to assert that many innovations are uprising forces against humanity and the world that result from focused intentions, the struggle of fixing democracy in everyday activities, and the practical search for change management skills.

There is need for ethical, democratic, and creative response to the problems through political and legislative changes in policies, and the protection of the environment through low-carbon emission. This can effectively lead to an effective and democratic steady-state economy. There is a possibility of low-carbon emission and creation of a green infrastructure through effective alleviation of financial, human, and planetary costs of compound interest. We can choose to implement effective land reforms to ensure equity and affordability in housing, which can eliminate capital and land rates. There is adequate time and space to implement effective policies through shared ownerships through the help of Trusteeship companies to acquire stable incomes for all citizens.
