Jordan’s Lucky Day Reese Jones Reese Jones

There was a nine year-old kid named Jordan. He was mean and tricked people, even his friends.

He liked to bully kids. His parents were angry because he got in trouble at school and in the neighborhood.

Jordan met a kid who wanted to fight. The kid was a bigger bully and punched Jordan in the head.

Jordan came home and did not tell his parents about the fight. He thought they would not care. He felt all alone.

While he was playing outside he found a dog who looked hungry and homeless. Jordan fed the dog the leftover pork chops from the night before. The dog licked Jordan in the face. It felt good.

He told the dog to stay and he ran inside and cleaned his room from top to bottom. Jordan called his mother to come look at his room and asked her if he could keep the dog. He even said the word please.

His mom said they needed to take the dog to the vet for a check-up and see if he belonged to someone else. Jordan already loved the dog and wanted what was best for him.

At Dr. Hall’s office they discovered that the dog was very sick. The doctor said he would need a rabies shot and a family who would take special care of him.

Dr. Hall said that the dog had been bullied by other dogs who were bigger than him. This made Jordan think about how he bullied others.

Jordan and his mom agreed to take good care and protect the dog from other bully dogs. On the way home Jordan and his mom had a serious talk about how bullying can hurt others.

When Jordan promised never to bully again the dog barked three times and gave him a big lick on the face. He thought about how lucky he was to have a friend now and also not be a bully.

Lucky lived to be 12 years old-and that is 84 in human years! He and Jordan walked everyday, and they even competed with a Frisbee Catch team. Jordan tells everyone about the day Lucky changed his life.
