Session Objectives & Success Criteria Establish an understanding of the potential positive impact of various room arrangements. Success Criteria I can: – Explain the benefits of a new room arrangement Understand the decision making process for selecting a particular room arrangement – Summarize the pros and cons of different room arrangements Highlight the benefits of a particular room arrangement for both the student and the teacher – Draw and label a new room arrangement

Guiding Question Guiding Question: How can a new room arrangement change the way you teach and the way your students learn?

As it Applies to CEL 5D+ What strategies create a safe, respectful classroom culture that embraces diversity, equity, and accountability? CEC1: The physical environment is safe, and the arrangement supports student learning and the purpose of the lesson. Teacher and students use the physical arrangement for learning.
