Components: 1) an outline of the project. Due on: Aug. 28th 2) class presentation about an element in one of these formats: Power Point Poster Brochure Video 3) Element block for the big periodic table 4) Advertisement (Optional: will count as extra credit)

The Outline: The outline covers the topics: Who or what group of people discovered the element (if unknown) description of how it was discovered or early uses list of at least 5 important characteristics or properties minimum of 5 uses value of the element in chemistry and the world today fun fact

The Presentation: The presentation covers the same topics: Who or what group of people discovered the element (if unknown) description of how it was discovered or early uses list of at least 5 important characteristics or properties minimum of 5 uses value of the element in chemistry and the world today fun fact And includes images and a reference page

References: Images do NOT belong to Google. You must reference the actual page where the image can be found.

The Element Block Has very specific formatting created in a Word file. Use the template and then add the images and cost per gram by either cutting and pasting or by printing, cutting and pasting. The block should be esthetically pleasing.

The Advertisement: The advertisement is a separate sheet and is generated by computer and printed, in color. Includes the name, symbol, atomic number, atomic weight, and cost per gram. Includes a slogan of your creation. Example: : “Arsenic’s a sure fire way to deal with a nasty rat! It works better than a mean old cat!” Minimum of one image, credited on the back.

The Advertisement: Radiation, a little dab will do you… (This was a real product and a really scary one at that…)
