Adoption & Fostering Previously, LGBT people were only able to adopt or foster as individuals 2006 – law changed to allow unmarried couples to adopt or foster jointly In 2014, 7% of adopters LGBT

Strengths of LGBT Families Cambridge University Study, said LGBT strengths include: Often come to Adoption or Fostering as 1 st choice The stability of LGBT relationships and adopters’ ability to work together as couples The ability to support a child growing up with a sense of difference
