Tap these resources when: You're the right "type" You have a history of donations You have a contact You directly benefit the corporation It makes sense

Don't attempt to tap when: Your work is controversial Don't want to endorse You aren't the right "type" No benefit for corporation Your goals are unclear

Step 1: Preparation Consider your needs Research corporations for: – CEOs, VPs, Board Members – How much they can give – Requirements for giving – What the local scene is like

Step 2: Execution Contact the corporation Formally request help If appropriate, celebrate! Follow up
