Ezekiel 28:11-14 Moreover the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying, Son of man, take up a lamentation over the king of Tyre, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. The King of Tyre The king was a created being - Ezekiel 28:12,15 He was “full of wisdom,” “perfect in beauty,” and having “the seal of perfection,” - verse 12 He was in a different realm - the holy mount of God - verses 13,14 He is portrayed as a cherub - verse 14 He was blameless and sinless - verse 15 He remained perfect in his ways until iniquity was found in him - verse 15b

Who Lucifer was Ezekiel 28:17 - “Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor.” Lucifer became obsessed with his own beauty, intelligence, power, and position He began to desire for himself the honor and glory that belonged to God alone. The sin that corrupted Lucifer was self-generated pride. 2. What caused Him to Sin

He flattered himself that he should yet have all the angels on his side, and that he would be equal with God Himself. In this battle every angel would choose a side. This was the beginning of sin. 3. There was war in heaven- conflict with the archrebel. Lucifer and his sympathizers were expelled from heaven. Angels are no longer inclined to sin. 2 Peter 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment.
