Parts of a Computer

Computer Hardware Hardware refers to the physical parts that make up the computer. Let’s name the computer hardware parts that we see.

Computer Parts Central Processing Unit or the CPU is where all the programs are stored. The CPU does the work that we input into the computer.

Computer Parts Monitor or Screen lets us see what we are doing as we work or play. Speakers let us hear sounds, music, or voices that come with the programs.

Computer Parts Mouse helps us move around the computer screen and make choices by clicking the buttons. Keyboard allows us to enter letter, numbers, and symbols.

Additional Hardware Parts Printers give us copies of our work on paper. Scanners help us with inputting information.
