Instructions Follow the steps below to insert slides that open selected pages of InterActive Physiology ® into any of your PowerPoint presentations. These slides do not require the Media Manager, IP CD, or a web connection to work. 1. Save and unzip the IP Slides folder from the Media Manager a)Select the body system you want to cover and save the ZIP file to your desktop b)Unzip it to extract the IP Slides folder (e.g., “IP_Slides_Muscle”) For help working with ZIP files, please refer to the Help section of the Media Manager 2. Create a presentation folder for your presentation and the files needed to run IP a)Create a new folder for your presentation on your desktop b)Put your PowerPoint presentation into this presentation folder PC users: To create a folder, right-click on your desktop, select “New”, and select “Folder” Mac users: To create a folder, Cmd-click on your desktop and select “New Folder” 3. Copy the “IP Files” folder into your presentation folder a)Open the IP Slides folder (e.g., “IP_Slides_Muscle”) b)Copy the folder called IP_BodySystem_FILES (e.g., “IP_Muscle_FILES”) c)Paste it into your presentation folder PC users: Copy = Ctrl-C; Paste = Ctrl-V Mac users: Copy = Cmd-C; Paste = Cmd-V 4. Copy the IP link slide into your PowerPoint presentation a)Open the IP Slides folder b)Open the PPT file for the Topic you want to link to (e.g., IPSlides_Muscle_Anatomy.ppt) c)Open your PowerPoint presentation side-by-side with the IP Slides PPT file d)In PowerPoint, select and copy the entire slide for the Page that you want to use e)Paste it into your own PowerPoint presentation. If prompted, select “keep source formatting” That’s it! Clicking the “Start” button during Slide Show Mode will launch the IP page you selected. You can create as many links as you want in any presentation, and you can move your presentation folder anywhere. IP Slides may not work on all configurations due to the way different systems handle file compression and hyperlinking.
