Project Management Plan

Project Organisation

DVA-1 Board n One member for each stakeholder n Oversees execution of DVA-1 on time and within budget n Takes major funding decisions, approves work packages, accepts delivery of major equipment n Chair from among Board Members, elected annually

Project Manager (NRAO) Reports to DVA-1 Board Reponsible for  day-to-day decision-making and expenditures as delegated by the Board  chairing DVA-1 Management Team including the DVA-1 System Engineer and the SPDO Domain Specialist for Receptors  regular progress reporting to the Board as defined by the Board  regular financial reporting to the Board as defined by the Board  obtaining authorization from the Board for major expenditure Accountabilities and duties

System Engineer (NRAO) acts as the technical authority for the DVA1 project n member of the DVA-1 Management Team n with the SPDO, develop performance specifications for DVA-1 consistent with the SKA Dish Verification Program (DVP). n Test and Verification  responsible for the finalization and sign-off of T&V plans  lead the execution of the T&V plans n develop technical plans for contracts, equipment, and procurements n develop and execute system integration plan for DVA1 n responsible for DVA1 program documentation n responsible for technical and performance acceptance of major deliverables n coordinate/supervise design engineers responsible for sub-system design and deliverables from participating/contributing institutions

Other positions Antenna Construction Engineer (DRAO) n responsible for the construction of dish, mount, and M&C system Antenna Assembly Engineer (Cornell) n responsible for assembling and integrating the optics, feeds, receivers, and other elements up to the data output from the antenna EVLA Implementation Engineer (NRAO) n responsible for all aspects of the EVLA implementation from the antenna output to the EVLA correlator output, and any civil works necessary to enable construction and emplacement of the antenna
