RESULT 1: STRENGTH Need Analysis The approach Collecting information about target groups’ needs of STRENGTH model, grounded on EQF principles and ECVET application; Questioning the end-users of STRENGTH project about their expectations towards project web-site design, structure and content in all partner languages; issue an assignment for development of STRENGTH project e-platform in EN and ES languages. The goal: To perform need analysis for competence based description of qualifications for green jobs development at country level; To organize Internet portal functionality survey ES1-LEO

RESULT 1: STRENGTH Need Analysis ES1-LEO Purpose and need for the LdV Project STRENGT: Chemical Engineering as an academic discipline Green Chemistry and Jobs: Definition, current state and future trends The need of Green Skills introduction into Chemical Engineering education Need analysis and conclusions of Project National Reports

RESULT 1: STRENGTH Need Analysis Set of National Reports elaborated to determine the need of green jobs, particularly in the field of Chemical Engineering Education and Industry; The employment in green economy as well as in traditional industries, which are becoming green, increases with sustainable rate of economic growth; The subsidising employment in green jobs is launched in all Partners’ countries simultaneously including them in the national classification of professions; In the Partners National Strategies on Employment, initiatives for increasing employment in green industries and promotion of green jobs are foreseen. Regulations exist in all Partners’ countries, which are forcing companies to develop cleaner processes; Need analysis and conclusions of Project National Reports – indicative statements ES1-LEO

RESULT 1: STRENGTH Need Analysis The descriptions of the competences are designed to form a clear picture of how they can be applied in the green jobs context; The descriptions include green jobs-related categories to clarify the work activities in the Chemical Engineering field; The common competences describe what a trainee, completed a full training programme in Chemical Engineering area should be able to do; The green competences specify the knowledge and skills trainees in a defined Chemical Engineering area should have in green-jobs related context; Competences are covered through the accomplishment of specific study courses and each competence is linked to the specific learning objectives of the relevant study courses; Need analysis and conclusions of Project National Reports – indicative statements ES1-LEO

RESULT 1: STRENGTH Need Analysis The survey identified primary message and secondary objectives of the project website; Expectations of users are that the website will serve as a communication with general public by transmitting primary message that is well-being of people and nature; Human well-being is the useful value of the project, i.e. improving of knowledge and skills or qualification of individuals, which can lead to green careers and entrepreneurship opportunities in the field of chemical engineering; A proposal of the organization of content, elements and integration of tool for competence profiling and forum for partner users was prepared. Internet portal functionality survey – indicative statements ES1-LEO

RESULT 1: STRENGTH Need Analysis The perception of the website will be improved by emphasizing the importance of competences, competence profiles and concrete useful information in this field; The proposed colours are green and blue because it has strong association of users with green jobs; Suggested web framework as a CMS is Joomla ( which offers efficient updating of content, multilingual implementation of content, optimization of website with keywords, RSS access to news, sending news to subscribed users and real-time monitoring website visits; Joomla can be also upgraded and connected with external applications, for example with competence profiling tool and forum.
