STEM capabilities are further enhanced through special programs such as: SySTEMic Solutions:  Aims to develop a sustainable STEM pipeline in Northern Virginia.  Engages students in elementary school and inspires them to continue to pursue STEM education in high school, college and in the workforce through collaboration with schools, businesses and community organizations.  Today, the program impacts 4,000 students in Prince William area schools and it is projected to reach 40,000 K-12 students across Northern Virginia by The Governor’s Innovation Park  Provides hands-on training from teachers and mentors from the professional science community to qualified juniors seeking a head start on a career in science, technology, engineering, math or medicine.  Provides internships with leading technology companies. Northern Virginia Community College  Northern Virginia Community College offers a host of STEM programs and courses that not only prepare graduates for continued studies but also for immediate employment.
