Los verbos reflexivos Capítulo 7.1

Reflexive verbs When someone does the action to himself or herself, you need to use a reflexive verb. All reflexive verbs have a se at the end of the infinitive. They use the same endings as before.

más The only difference is that you need a reflexive pronoun before the verb. The reflexive pronouns are: me, te, se, nos and se

lavarse- to wash oneself me lavo te lavas se lava nos lavamos se lavan

ejemplos Me levanto a las seis. I get up at six. Mi papá se afeita. My dad shaves. Nos acostamos a las once. We go to bed at 11:00.

Infinitives and reflexive pronouns When you have a conjugated verb and an infinitive in the same sentences, the pronoun can go in 2 spots. It can go before the conjugated verb. It can be attached to the infinitive.

ejemplos Yo no me quiero acostar temprano. Yo no quiero acostarme temprano. I don’t want to go to bed early.
