A revolution in Heavy Lift Helicopters By: Zane Thomas

Sikorsky’s CH-53 or kilo model Super Stallion helicopter is a new revolution in 50 years of Heavy Lift rotary aircraft dominance; providing the troops of today with the best of the best at their fingertips. The aircraft improves in three main areas: 1. Aircraft Survivability, 2. Multi-mission capability, and 3. decreased maintenance and fuel costs.

3 Gau caliber machine guns Infrared Counter Measures Composite airframe and rotor Ceramic and Kevlar Plating Classified radar absorbing material /the-longest-gunship-burst- ever/ /

CH-53E Towing Capabilities

Fly by wire avionics Mass gross load of 88,000 lbs. 3 7,500 horsepower turbine engines. Cruise speed of 200 mph. L pallet ready

Integrated Monitoring system Elastomeric main rotor head Half the weight of its predecessor Towing distance of 110 nautical miles. Lighter Airframe
