Sacraments: 1.They are ordained by Jesus 2.They communicate to others that we’re Christian 3.They’re visible signs of God’s grace 4.God uses them to strengthen & confirm our faith in Him

Baptism is not only a sign of profession and mark of difference, whereby Christian men are discerned from others that be not christened; but is also a sign of regeneration or new birth, whereby, as by an instrument, they that receive baptism rightly are grafted into the Church; the promises of the forgiveness of sin, and of our adoption to be the sons of God by the Holy Ghost, are visibly signed and sealed; faith is confirmed, and grace increased by virtue of prayer unto God…. Baptism is a sign of profession …

36 “Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.” 37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” 38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. […]” 41 Those who accepted his message were baptized…. (Acts 2:36-41)

Baptism is a sign of regeneration …

“And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.” (Acts 22:16)

So what about infant baptism?  Sign of Profession  Sign of Regeneration

So what about infant baptism? 38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off … (Acts 2:38-39)

Jesus said … “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 22:19) So what about infant baptism?
