Presentation transcript:

1 Cryogenic payload 1111 (1)ELiTES WP1 (Cryogenic payload) meeting : 13th of April, 25th of May WP2 meting (Cryogenic mirror): 2nd of May, 15th of June WP3 meeting (Cooling system) : 1st of June Informal meeting : 14th of May (GWADW, Hawaii) We discuss what we do, who visit Japan, and who visit from Japan.

22 First ‘quasi’ ELiTES face to face meeting 14 May 2012 (Hawaii, GWADW2012)

33 Cryogenic payload (1)ELiTES Plans on European side : [kagraj 00092] Plans on Japanese side must be summarized. (2)Workshop with University of Toyama 7th of July, for new collaboration K. Yamamoto explained what we need. Details are being discussed.

4 Cryogenic payload (3) Sapphire fibers (a)IMPEX fibers with nail heads were ordered (thanks for E. Majorana). (b)T. Ushiba is measuring thermal conductivity. (c)K. Shibata is preparing the measurement of Q-values.

5 Cryogenic payload (4) Other ideas R. DeSalvo : composite mirror suspension silicon blades, sapphire ribbon, silicon hinge W. Johnson : metal wire and sapphire ribbon (5) Digital system List of thermometers should be summarized soon.

6 Cryogenic payload (5) Measurement of vibration of radiation shield in KAGRA cryostat On next autumn, it will be measured. Chen Dan proceeds with the developement of (horizontal) accelerometer. Luca Naticchioni will bring his (vertical) accelerometer. He and Ettore Majorana visited Japan (23 rd -29 th April). Thanks for ELiTES
