Cry 1Ac Cry 1F + WideStrike : A Dual-Gene Bt Technology For Broad Spectrum Lepidopteran Management Commercially Available In PhytoGen Varieties Since 2005 TM TM Trademark of Dow AgroSciences LLC. TM PhytoGen and the PhytoGen Logo are trademarks of PhytoGen Seed Company LLC.

WideStrike TM reduced feeding damage by tobacco budworm and bollworm to low levels. Cry1Ac is highly effective against tobacco budworm. WideStrike TM sustained low-level damage under high bollworm pressure WideStrike TM non-sprayed yields were numerically similar if not statistically greater than the sprayed non-Bt in natural infestation tests. WideStrike TM provided excellent control of many of the secondary foliar feeding lepidopterous insects including cabbage looper, soybean looper, southern armyworm, and fall armyworm. Conclusions l Efficacy of WideStrike ™ cotton against Heliothines in 2006 similar to results. l Varieties containing WideStrike provided control of Heliothis (primarily bollworm) that were statistically similar. - Boll damage exceeded 5% at four of 23 locations, all under heavy BW pressure. - Under high insect occurrence, a few locations exceeded insect threshold levels of feeding damage or larval infestation in Widestrike ™ cotton – treatment necessary to prevent losses from bollworm. TM Trademark of Dow AgroSciences LLC. TM PhytoGen and the PhytoGen Logo are trademarks of PhytoGen Seed Company LLC.

Conclusions l Varieties containing WideStrike provided control of secondary lepidopteran pests that were statistically similar. l WideStrike effectively protected against yield loss. –Numerical and even statistic differences did occur among WideStrike varieties in one location. Yield potential and environmental conditions are likely contributing factors, rather than in-season differences in efficacy. TM TM Trademark of Dow AgroSciences LLC.
