DRILL PRESS

1. Belt cover 2. Speed control High speed for soft materials, such as wood. Low speed for hard materials, such as metal. 3. Chuck & chuck key 4. Feed lever 5. Quil  Holds the drill chuck and slides up and down with the feed lever. 6. Table & table lock lever 7. Column The motor unit, base, and table are fastened to the round column. The table is adjusted up and down on the column to provide for large or small work pieces.

Use  Drilling & Boring Holes  Holes that are less than 1” inch in diameter are considered drilling.  Holes that are 1” or greater in diameter are considered boring.

Safety 1. Always clamp the work to the table. 2. Never leave the chuck key in the chuck. 3. Place scrap wood under your stock when drilling completely through. 4. Feed the bit into the wood at the proper speed. If the wood is burning, then either the: Bit is dull Feed is too fast Machine may be in reverse! 5. No auger bits!
