Slide 1 Welcome to SimELMO; Page Text 1 (Portrait, One Column) Edition! In this simulation you will learn to display a page of text via the document camera. This page will be a challenge! To begin turn the projector on via the control console at the lower right. Steve Bonham Center for Excellence in Teaching Georgia Southern University 2005

Slide 2 Now select the source to send to the projector; click the “Doc Cam” button on the console.

Slide 3 Flip the document camera’s power switch to on.

Slide 4 Press the lamp button to turn the upper lamps on. Note that the main output light is now lit.

Slide 5 Place the document on the bed of the Elmo.

Slide 6 The zoom seems too tight. Zoom out (wider).

Slide 7 You’ve switched to base lighting. Press the lamp button again to turn the base lamp off.

Slide 8 Both lamps are off. Press the lamp button again to turn the upper lamp on.

Slide 9 Too tight. There’s missing text on both sides. Widen out some.

Slide 10 You’ve switched to base lighting. Press the lamp button again to turn the base lamp off.

Slide 11 Both lamps are off. Press the lamp button again to turn the upper lamp on.

Slide 12 The text is readable but the left and right edges are not displayed. Unfortunately, this is as good as it gets. Text Templates
