Library Procedures After your teacher dismisses you to enter, go directly to your assigned seat, put AR log under your seat. Turn chairs to view front screen, your back should be touching the back of your chair. Listen while Mrs. Schlandt goes over who can and cannot check out. Be respectful, the quieter you are, the quicker this process can be accomplished. There will be a library lesson then check out will be the last 10 minutes of class.
CHECK-OUT EXPECTATIONS Use book markers to find books Put back books where you found them Spine should be facing out Call number should be at the bottom DO NOT push back books
Check Out Procedures Find book/books. Bring book to computer check out station along with your AR log All saved books will be up on my computer stand. You still have to check out saved books. They are saved, NOT checked out. Turn book(s) over, have your log right below the barcode on the back so I can scan quickly.
CHECK-OUT EXPECTATIONS Check out for one week Renew two more times if needed K-1 st Only one book at a time-and only from the Easy section (K checks out starting in October). 2 nd –3 rd 2 books at a time—1 needs to be AR in your range (2 nd grade-- no chapter books until your teacher tells me you are ready). 4 th -6 th 2 items –1 needs to be AR in your range **No item can be checked out at any grade level if an item is overdue.

CHECK OUT TIMES Your class time once a week Any open library times BE SURE TO REFER TO SCHEDULE!
Magazine/ Audio-Visual Policies 4 th -6 th graders can check out magazines Only one magazine/audio-visual at a time Keep magazines in envelope provided, pay 50 cents if you lose the envelope. You must check out a book to check out a magazine. 3 rd -6 th graders can check out audio-visuals which include book-tape sets and cassette tapes. On return, check for all parts before checking in.
