1775 The first Post Office was created. Letter writing became popular and communication can travel from person to person.

1837 The telegraph was created by Samuel Morse. This allowed for instant communication across long distances. This was especially helpful during war time to transfer important information.

1876 The telephone was invented by Alexander Graham Bell.

1920 Radio was the new form of communication and entertainment.

1939 Television made its debut.

1967 The original internet was created for military purposes only.

1973 The first portable cellular phone was created.

1997-today Social media thrives: blogging, facebook, twitter, etc.
