Capacity Building. Training has been conducted for different categories of persons involved in the MDM scheme. Training of Officials of the MDM cell at all Districts, data entry operators, centralised kitchen managers and nodal officers for kitchen shed construction involved in the MDM and also at the block level officers. Community participation. Public Private Partnership: The state government has taken keen interest in involving charitable trusts, NGOs for voluntary community support under the MDM scheme. Evaluation Studies Studies were conducted by CDECS in IN 14 Districts in 200 schools The Major findings are Enrolment of students in primary has decreased where as in upper primary it has increased. Increased learning level and reduced classroom hunger, improved health of the students. MDM is the motivating factor for sending their children to schools. MDM has helped in reducing social inequalities among children. Majority of the Teachers believe that there was no adverse effect on teaching due to their involvement in the MDM Scheme.
