WORLD WAR II Lasted from September 1, 1939 to September 2, 1945 German military invaded Poland to begin the war Also known as the Holocaust Affected not only Jews, but ethnic groups too

ADOLF HITLER Lived from April 20, 1889-April 30, 1945 Leader of the Nazi party Dictated Germany Killed 11 million people

CONCENTRATION CAMPS IN WORLD WAR II Where people were imprisoned under harsh living conditions More than 40,00 camps were established to hold most Jews during the war, if they weren’t killed already Auschwitz-Birkenau, Treblinka, and Ebensee, were some of the worst camps
