Kids don’t revise at home You learn better by ‘doing’

Learn what it is See some examples Give them time to create their own

Learn what it is See some examples Learn what it is See some examples Give them time to create their own

Total time spent revising independently Give time to create their own DO NOT give time to create their own no significant difference

Giving students time in the lesson to create their own revision materials did not make them revise for any longer In our research study… in those 2 schools… with those classes… at that time… using those techniques…

Are regular spelling tests more effective than other methods? Do tablets help students to learn better than more traditional methods? How effective is peer feedback compared to teacher feedback? How does giving grades-only or comments-only affect future performance? How does wait-time after questioning affect a students thinking?
